ENFORCEMENT PROCESS
The primary
objectives of CASA enforcement activities are as follows:
The protection of fare paying passengers, the aviation
community and the general public from those who cannot, or will not, operate in
accordance with the law.
Educate those in the aviation industry about CASA’s role as
a regulator and the importance of complying with their legal obligations, thus
engendering a spirit of cooperation.
Identify those people in the industry who may require
additional training or supervision.
Take appropriate enforcement action against those who
deliberately choose to put other considerations before their obligations to
comply or who flagrantly disregard those obligations.
Where individuals or organizations in the aviation industry
choose to break the rules, or demonstrate they are unwilling or unable to meet
their legal obligations to aviation safety, CASA will respond with prompt, firm
and fair enforcement action. This includes prosecution and/or suspension or
cancellation action where necessary.

EXIT CONTROL
The exit process from the industry applies when an AOC or
other aviation document holders voluntarily seeks a cancellation of an
AOC/aviation document by surrendering their document or CASA revoking an
AOC/aviation document as a result of an Enforcement Process.
